Parents
Most communication between parents and the School is focused on their child’s progress. Good communication between parents and School at this level underpins a child’s success and happiness. Higher up the School, discussions tend to centre on helping parents choose the right senior school for their child. Teachers and senior staff are always available to discuss a child’s pastoral happiness. In this way, parents and teachers combine their efforts in the children’s best interests.
The PTA supports Newton Prep through fund raising for the Newton Scholarship Fund and for other charities supported by the children in any particular year. The PTA enhances the School’s sense of community and the parents’ sense of belonging by organising social events, such as the annual quiz night, which bring families together. The Headmaster meets PTA form representatives twice a year to discuss matters of mutual interest.
