Headmaster
I was appointed in March 2005 to succeed Richard Dell at Newton Prep in September 2006. I have taken over a well-run, happy school, built on firm foundations of good educational practice. Why is it a happy school? Because the pupils are bright and busy and they are well taught by a team of enthusiastic teachers who meet the educational and pastoral needs of the children in their care.
I see it as absolutely central to my job to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning at Newton is of the highest standard. The second strand of my role is to ensure that all pupils enjoy a full range of stimulating activities: sporting, musical, dramatic and artistic. A third element of my role as Head is to bring Newton together as a happy and supportive community in which good relationships between pupils, staff and parents are the order of the day.
