School Trips
Trips at Newton are an exciting extension to learning in the classroom, whether they be to the fire station or Polka Theatre in the Nursery, the Ragged School Museum in Year 2, the pantomime in Year 3, or to France or Flatford Mill in Year 8 . All areas of the curriculum are supported by a range of ambitious trips to enrich the experience of all children and our creative work at school reflects this hands-on approach.
We make the most of the performance and exhibition opportunities of London as well as visiting famous landmarks and galleries and sites outside London. We also take children skiing once a year.
To round off Year 6, we have a residential challenge activity week for the whole year-group in Croft Farm, Gloucestershire, and for Year 8, the adventure of some serious hill walking in Wales.
The trips vary slightly from year to year but are as follows:

As well as all of these trips out of school, we also have a range of exciting visitors coming to us: opera singers for an opera workshop; musical master-classes; visiting theatre companies; The Story Tent; a mobile planetarium; published authors in book week; visiting artists to run workshops as well as some or our parents who share stories about their history, their faith or their work.
