Buildings and Facilities

The school has expanded above and around the original Victorian building. A modern extension provides a further sixteen classrooms, a multispace area, two gyms, a dining room and spacious art studios.

The school premises are bright and spacious with plenty of outside space including an all weather pitch, used for tennis, cricket, netball and football, as well as a school garden. All are enclosed within the 1.5 acres that adjoin the school building. Our fully equipped and refurbished (summer 2009) science and ICT suites plus computerised library of over 16,000 books provide superb learning spaces within the building. Of all these additions, perhaps the jewel in the crown is the Auditorium which was opened by Sir Peter Hall, at the time a Newton parent, in November 2004. The space includes a professional sound and lighting system.
